Clothes arranged in heaps
Socks leap unseen into dark
corners of the room
Trudging through lint fluff
Soap powder clings to bare foot
Primates laugh at me
Wondering loudly
Why I make such a shrill fuss
Over woven plants
Hung on my body
To cover the base creature
I claim not to be
Jungle animals
Do not wash their stringy hair
in smelly white rooms
