I never really knew (Free verse) by donmiguel1960

I never really knew, the marvel others spoke of The feelings, they enjoyed and lived I never understood the happiness inside them The blaze of benevolence, that compelled them to give An obscurity, bewildered, a portrait caught sight of but not realized I never really knew, the transformation you lead into my days The exultation, the inspiration discovered, the offering of life I never before experience the emotions, a genuine basis of bliss The understanding of devotion, the revelation embraced, the halt of strife An eruption of ecstasy, discovery, the gift of love I never really knew, the gloom of darkness, sincere loneliness The troubled and broken spirit, that inspires, that now is banished I never desired such unfathomable anguish, drowning, trodden bud The uninvited consequence of a shattered heart, a love now vanished A passage plunged into, a consequence, I never really knew Miguel Francis

In all seriousness, the 'truest form of happiness' is probably idiocy.
