Opening Your Heart (Other) by chesty82
Six years ago, you wrote me Opening your heart Just like a burning candle Guiding me from out the dark The effect i regret, was not instant Still it guided me through fears The tears grew gradually distant As i matured over the years I'm sorry i haven't tried harder Or ended up doing wrong things Still i've always wanted to please you And deal with what ever life brings Life has been a battle Still i'll never ever give up Just knowing your here to support me Has always been enough I just want to say i appreciate Everything you've done I just hope i can repay you And make you proud to call me your son

Knowing a little of the situation that surrounds the writing of this poem, I'm moved greatly by this. Congratulations Chesty - I hope that the person it was intended for has read it!
