Margaret Prays (Lyric) by wilco

Margaret sees the world through hazy eyes She keeps her heart wrapped up in a brown paper bag And she takes it with her everywhere she goes She never mentions how it shattered like glass When he turned and never said goodbye Margaret sits alone and dries her eyes She keeps her things packed up in a brown suitcase just in case she ever has to run again She never mentions how it's full of dreams But she lost the key some time ago Chorus: Margaret prays for everyone she meets As she falls down on her knees Margret prays for everyone But she never seems to find the time for herself Margaret knows she never had a chance They kept her locked away in a cold, dark room Where she could only sing to pass the time She never mentions how she screamed his name as she prayed for him to save her soul Margaret gets a glass and pours a drink She goes to sit back down but it's already gone So she stares at these lonely walls again She never mentions how it's the only thing That she has ever found to fill the hole Chorus X2 Margaret prays for me sometimes and sometimes I pray for Margaret too

I think Margret listened to Counting Crows too much and her brain was actually forced out of her ear.
